Sounds like you were going for the "kebab" last night too!

You only get a prize if you get two strippers for a piccolo of champagne and they ask "lesbo show?" :D

Well done that man! Looking forward to the "sensible post" :D

I can only add my personal thanks to all involved to the good feedback that has been put forward by others in attendance, Yes the testosterone level was through the roof and some were unfortunatly a little disrespectfull during the speeches. (I held back the temptation to grip the scruff of someones neck and march them to the kerb for talking during the minutes silence), but other than those minor indescretions, Hats off to CM and the other organisers, speakers and stands a job very well done by all and i shall certainly be attending all future meetings (Work allowing) and recomending it to others serious about a career in the industry.

My only regret is that i had to leave early due to work commitments and missed out on Pete Jenkins Presentation (which i sorely wanted to see) and the Raffle result (did i win anything?), as well as the chance to socialise a little more but promise that next time CPW im yours for the night.

Thanks all you did a brilliant, brilliant job!

Hold on a sec CM.
There was a very pissed off half comatosed 'eastern angel' tied down with ducktape in the back of my van. She had a pin badge....... cant remember where I left here now.

Matt110, we'll put our heads together and sort out a diversion, I'm just going to assume annie is immune to chloroform by now...we'll have to find something stronger.

14 Hours drinking, 5 hours kip, 6 hour drive back north, 4 hours on the doors.....
sounds about right. Some people mentioned a weekend style event next year....I think I could quite happily crack a week of that kind of madness, but I think we'd all be pretty much barred from London, and thats quite an achievement :D

well done the team at cpo world profesinal ,informative meeting with great guest speakers all of them i won a prize at the raffle an added bonus it was good to meet you john in person i will attend next years event like mentioned before bigger venue and keep the trade stands to one side so we can give the speakers the courtesy of our full attention and appreciation of their time

To cm and team,

A fantastic event, well done very informative learn a lot just being in the same room with the best in the field, thanks again cannot wait for next year.

Well done all involved very good event, managed to get some good contacts on the night and met up with a few i'd worked with in the past.
The only thing I would change is split the raffle into 2 halves as it seemed to drag on a little
(and could you put my numbers in next time).
Again well done all.

Big thank you to the team...

Just want to say a big thank you to all the CPW team and the speakers for a very welcoming meet friday.

I was very pleasantly surprised to receive the news i had won a star prize in the raffle from hiddentec systems friday, it was my first time attending with my friend dave082, we where both impressed with the event and the whole organisation and the warm atmosphere between everyone attending was cool.

Big thank you CM(name removed) and the team again, and of course to hiddentec for entering the amazing gifts!!

Well worth a visit Thanks to longmore for info on their course and to all of the speakers for taking time out and coming. Thanks to Annie for the nice flower on my badge. Can't wait for the next one. Maybe I can win something next time too.

Hi All,
As it was my first time at the CPW event I thought that it was great. People in general were very polite and gave a lot of good advice .

As a newby to the CPW I was very keen to get networking but was slightly disappointed as I have no millitary experience and the fact that a lot of companies will not touch me because of this .

Thank you to Peter Jennings kindly signing my book....lol....When is your next one being published ?

Oh forgot to mention that the choice of stands were great , Particularly the K9 section....Will be signing up for a course in the very near future....

Astute 1

I would like to say thank you once again to the organisers of the event , I will wear my free CPW pin with pride...

I would like to thank CM and the rest of the CPW team for organising such a fantastic event. It is the first time I have attended, and enjoyed every minute of it. I arrived with my partner in crime at about 4:30pm in order to be fashionably late / not be the only ones there, but we missed a couple of talks due to this, something for those to bear in mind which want to attend next year.

We also struggled to get around all of the exhibitors in the time given, maybe due to the time we arrived, or maybe we just talked far too much to the exhibitors we actually visited. G4S were disappointing and frosty with their exhibition staff, as soon as they discovered i had no military experience they didn't want to know or spend any more time talking to me, the same with my colleague with 11 years infantry experience, he didn't have 2 tours under his belt, so the same went for him.

The exhibitors and visitors speaking above the guest speakers was a bit of a distraction, maybe we can think of a solution for next year?

Thanks to the guys for the "after party", if only I hadn't spent all my money behind the bar in Angel

I won the Malpeet General Purpose Security Dog (7 day) course with 1 years membership to NASDU, which I was extremely pleased with, and my amigo went away with the IMSA SSO course, so we didn't do bad all in all. Really wanted the £4k worth of gucci surveillance gear but that wasn't to be!

After willing the Malpeet course I went to speak with Stuart Phillips, the UK Operations Manager, who was extremely friendly and approachable, gave me all the forms I had to fill in, along with the dates for the next 3 courses.

It was definately worth the 850 mile trip from Bristol -> Leeds -> London -> Leeds -> Bristol, and only 5 hours sleep in 48 hours!

For those who didn't go this year, you really are missing out, and hope to see you there at the 2011 event! :)

hi all,
just like to say thanks to cm and the staff for a great evening.

just finished my cp course and found the recruitment companies very helpful indeed. i will be busy for a while now sending cv's off for possible work.

some of the speechs were good but found them hard to hear cause of people talking.
one other suggestion is the old bar extension for nxt year, think this might help in keeping the crowd in the venue so everyone can network. i no some r in london for the nite and the grass is greener on the other side but remember why we went to the event, to network, gain and pass on information and to help those who require help in gwtting in to this tough area of work

thanks again for the event

i won the awesome tracking kit ;-)

I won the awesome tracking kit mate...;-)

I had an imformative day at the event on the 9th guys thanks for the hard work you put in.

thanks cm for the call this morning regarding the raffle prize i won, as the raffle was drawn after i left

thanks again to all involved

Yes yes yes knifeandbulletproof, i saw that you had won the tracking kit, it was an absolutely fantastic piece of kit, extremely generous of the company to donate, and they were extremely nice to talk to as well.
What are you planning on doing with the kit then knifeandbulletproof? I spent £100 on raffle tickets and won the 7 day general security dog handlers course, and my colleague spent £20 and won the ship security officer course. Did really well between us.

I couldn't be there but
I won a Glock holster,
or as a pissed CM (I can only assume) informed me on the night,
a FLICK HOLSTER.
I own neither a Flick or a Glock, and never can legally.
So the first donation of a prize to the next CPW event is;
1 unused Glock Holster.
But thanks anyway.
Unless someone wants to swap, say an ISS course, or driving course or a nice little tracking devise ? Any takers ???? NO !!!!!
